Does anyone else feel like summer is rushing by at an unbelievable pace? It seems like just yesterday we were celebrating Memorial Day, and now, here we are, deep into July. What happened to those long, lazy summer days we remember from childhood? The days when schoolwork was a distant memory, and the biggest decision was whether to run through the sprinklers or head to the pool to escape the heat.

Embracing a Moment of Calm in a Hectic Summer
For many of us, adult summers often feel more like an acceleration than a slowdown. Weeks are packed with commitments, responsibilities, and an ever-growing to-do list. The idyllic notion of leisurely afternoons often gives way to a feeling of being completely burnt out by mid-day. By 3 o’clock, the energy wanes, and the thought of pushing through the rest of the day can feel daunting. This is precisely when a little pick-me-up, a moment of pure, unadulterated refreshment, becomes not just a luxury, but a necessity.

The Inspiration: Canada Dry Ginger Ale and Lemonade
My journey to finding this ultimate summer refreshment began with a discovery at my local King Soopers. As a long-time fan of Canada Dry Ginger Ale – it’s a staple in our household, not just for its crisp taste but also its magical ability to soothe an upset stomach – I was browsing the aisles when something new caught my eye: Canada Dry Ginger Ale and Lemonade. My curiosity was instantly piqued. Ginger ale is already so refreshing, but the addition of zesty lemonade? That sounded like a game-changer.

From the first sip, I was completely hooked. The blend of bubbly ginger and bright lemon flavor is simply irresistible. It quickly became my ritual to set aside a few minutes each afternoon to enjoy a glass, allowing myself to recenter and recharge before tackling the rest of my day. But then, an even better idea sparked – what if I could transform this already fantastic drink into an even more indulgent, icy treat?
Introducing the Mixed Berry Ginger Lemonade Frozen Mocktail

The beauty of this mocktail lies in its simplicity and ingenious preparation. The secret to its perfectly frosty texture and undiluted flavor is freezing the Canada Dry Ginger Ale and Lemonade into ice cubes beforehand. This simple step ensures that as your mocktail slowly melts, its delicious taste only intensifies, rather than becoming watery. When you’re ready for a treat, just blend these flavored ice cubes with fresh blueberries and raspberries, and a splash more of the liquid Canada Dry Ginger Ale and Lemonade. In mere minutes, you’ll have a thick, smooth, and utterly delightful frozen mocktail ready to enjoy.
