Anyone who frequents Vegas knows the frustration of arriving at a popular restaurant with a reservation, only to be told there’s still an hour’s wait. This is precisely why SUGARCANE Raw Bar Grill in the Venetian was such a delightful and unexpected discovery. We literally walked by, and the irresistible aroma of incredible food wafting from within pulled us in like a magnet. Despite being completely packed and without a reservation, the accommodating staff somehow managed to squeeze us in at the bar. Their hospitality was truly remarkable, getting us settled and served efficiently, as we had a show to catch. But the food? It was absolutely *bomb*. From the incredibly tender short ribs to the perfectly seasoned spicy skirt steak, every dish was a hit. And their Vegas Manhattan? Easily one of the best I’ve ever had. SUGARCANE offers a diverse menu featuring globally inspired small plates, a fantastic raw bar, and expertly crafted cocktails. Tucked away behind a pawn shop facade in The Cosmopolitan, this speakeasy-inspired lounge and restaurant offers an air of mystery and exclusivity even before you step inside. The interior is opulent and chic, creating the perfect backdrop for their exceptional drink program. The Pink Panther, with its surprising hint of pink peppercorn, completely surpassed my expectations, offering a unique and refreshing flavor profile. Similarly, the Woodsman, muddled with fresh pears, delivered an invigorating and wonderfully boozy hit that I still relish thinking about. Sitting at the bar here is a definite advantage, as the bartenders are true masters of their craft. Walking the Strip

There are two distinct times you absolutely must experience walking the entire length (or at least a significant portion) of the Las Vegas Strip: in the morning, around 10 AM, and late at night. The latter will inevitably happen, I assure you! In the morning, you get a unique taste of the Vegas casinos in all their grand glory, but without the overwhelming crowds. It’s a chance to appreciate the architectural marvels, the intricate details, and the sheer scale of the resorts in relative peace. Grab a bloody Mary or a mimosa to-go from one of the many cafes and leisurely stroll, taking in the sights – including, perhaps, some epic “walks of shame” that are a signature, albeit often humorous, part of the Vegas morning landscape. At night, walking the Strip is a non-negotiable experience. The entire boulevard transforms into a dazzling spectacle of neon lights, towering digital displays, and vibrant energy. Witnessing the iconic Bellagio Fountains dance to music, seeing the Eiffel Tower replica glow, and simply soaking in the electric atmosphere is unforgettable. Even if you’re not a devout fan of the “Bell,” a visit to the new Taco Bell Cantina on the Strip is an essential Las Vegas experience, if only for the sheer novelty and tourist-friendly fun. This isn’t your average Taco Bell. It’s a vibrant, modern space offering an expanded menu and, most importantly, alcoholic “Twisted Freezes” – giant frozen margaritas and other boozy concoctions in a variety of delicious flavors. It’s definitely the nicest and most visually appealing Taco Bell I’ve ever stepped foot in, and their extensive selection of frozen boozy drinks makes it a perfect stop for a fun, casual drink. Here’s a little insider tip: there’s often a Walgreens right next door where you can grab an extra shot of your preferred spirit to really kick things up a notch, allowing you to get the party started without paying insane bar prices for additional alcohol. It’s a playful and uniquely Vegas way to grab a bite and a drink.

Hit The Foundation Room at the Top of Mandalay Bay

For what I consider the absolute best panoramic view of the entire Las Vegas Strip, head straight to The Foundation Room, perched atop Mandalay Bay. From their spectacular outdoor patio, you get an uninterrupted vista of the dazzling city lights stretching into the horizon – it’s truly breathtaking, especially at night. Beyond the incredible views, The Foundation Room is also one of my favorite clubs. Unlike many mega-clubs on the Strip that relentlessly pump out heavy EDM music all night long, this venue offers a more sophisticated and varied musical experience. The Sprinkles Cupcake ATM is my delightful solution for satisfying that sudden sweet tooth craving. Sprinkles is already renowned for its gourmet cupcakes, but their ingenious self-service ATM takes convenience to a whole new level.
